Legendary travelling theatre company Footsbarn pitch their Big Top in Edinburgh for the first time with their world-renowned production, captivating young and old alike with a visual feast of music, masks and imagination, set against a fairy-lit Calton Hill.

Since setting up in a barn on Foot’s Farm in Cornwall over 35 years ago, the acclaimed and unique Footsbarn Theatre has been touring the world, sharing Shakespeare's genius through music, magic and mayhem. This originally British ensemble is now truly international, and currently includes 12 different nationalities of actors and musicians.

Footsbarn recently returned to London for the first time since 1991, playing five sold-out performances at Shakespeare’s Globe over the May Bank holiday weekend. Now they are coming to Edinburgh for the very first time with one of the company’s most popular productions ever – a fresh, fabulous and often riotous frolic through Shakespeare’s most loved comedy.
