Our feathered friends battle to save the planet with bird poo in this riotous new comedy musical for all the family, inspired by Aristophanes' classic The Birds . Swift and McFly are fed up of the dirty, stinking town that they live in. So they decide to found a new city in the sky with the Birds: Cloudcuckooland. But the Birds want revenge on the human race for destroying their habitat. Just how much damage can the strategic pooing of the entire bird community cause to mankind? Cloudcuckooland is a riotous hour of comedy, satire, music and clowning for all the family, performed by an ensemble of all-singing, all-dancing actor musicians. 'Whoops of delight... Helen Eastman directed a well-drilled, multi-skilled cast whose energy was infectious.' 'There are lots of bright production ideas from the monocycle that takes everyone up to the clouds to the flat pack kit for building Cloudcuckooland – with the help of a lot of balloon blowing by the audience. There is a bright and sometimes clap-along score from Alex Silverman... Great fun' British Theatre Guide 'Packed with satire, nods to popular culture and belly laughs. The jokes and songs come rapid-fire from a team of quite astounding all-round talents. There's much here for grown-ups to enjoy; music, slapstick and political commentary, However as the action moves first to a 'bird conference' in the sky and then to Cloudcuckooland there is more to keep the kids happy including audience participation, sing-a-longs and plenty of jokes about bird poo.'
