Barb Jungr is fast becoming the definitive performer of one of the great musical icons of the twentieth century, Bob Dylan. In 2005 the BBC hosted a Barbican concert to celebrate his work. In introducing Barb Jungr, Billy Bragg described her as "possibly the best interpreter of Dylan's songs". In this view he is not alone. Jungr has been wowing audiences and critics worldwide with her astonishingly powerful reinterpretations of this great songwriter's work.
Demands have increased for her to sing an evening of exclusively Dylan material since 2002, and her three exclusively Dylan shows at last year's Adelaide Cabaret festival were resounding sell-out hits. Due to this demand, Jungr is now touring this new show internationally, combining her most popular interpretations with new Dylan pieces.
Since the 2002 release of her critically acclaimed and top selling 'Every Grain of Sand', Jungr’s last three albums have each contained two further Dylan compositions. Her new show draws on all of these and includes new additions from Dylan’s repertoire.
